March 2007 Entries

We went on a 5 mile bike ride tonight.  It was a little chilly but still worth it!  We are going to have a busy weekend.  Our goal is to finish the insulation on the basement.  Saturday afternoon I am going to a purse party with Stephanie.  Saturday night we are going over to Bill & Tanya's for dinner and I'm sure games.  Then on Sunday we are going to the Ice Hogs game with Lisa & Randy.  Lisa got the tickets from work for free so that was nice of her to invite us.
Monday night we went to Rockford Bicycle Co. to take my bike in for a tune up.  Mark is going to pick it up after work tonight for me.  He rode one of the bikes there and it helped him to make a decision on what bike to buy.  He ordered his new bike last night and it should be here in about a month.  He is pretty excited!!  Since the first official day of spring is tomorrow we are hoping that the weather will prove it so we can start biking.  Mark has decided to go clipless this year and is trying to get me to do the same.  I'm just afraid of falling because I can't get my feet out.

Last night, Mark picked up a BBQ chicken pizza and apple dessert pizza from Papa Murphys.  Both were excellent.  Papa Murphys is the pizza place that makes the pizzas for you but you cook them at home.

Today, Mark's dad came over to help with the basement.  They are working on the duct work and finishing up the insulation.  Thanks for the help Phil!!!  I on the other hand am being lazy.  I have paid bills, ran the dishwasher and other than that I haven't done much.  After I'm finished writing this I am going to do some scrapbooking.

We are hoping to be able to go to Chicago soon to visit Michele.  I don't think we have seen her since the wedding!!!  That is a sad, SAD, thing!!  Michele is going to be running in the Shamrock Shuffle next weekend.  It's an 8K race which she tells me is about 5 miles with around 30,000 participants.  Good Luck Michele!!

Here's a blog for Michele.  Yesterday it was in the 70's and Mark and I went biking.  Tonight it's in the 30's and it's snowing outside!!!  That is northern Illinois for ya!

The basement is closer to being done but it's still a work in process.  We are at the insulation stage and next is dry wall.
