April 2008 Entries

Well, the movers have packed all of our stuff.  It filled the whole semi, but they did say that they could have packed the truck higher and fit more items if we had more.  The final item into the semi was the lawn tractor!  The house is now empty except for a couch, bed, and dresser that will be Jeff's.

We have our final walk through at the new house tomorrow and we close on Monday.  The movers will be at our new house early Tuesday morning to move all of our stuff into the house.  Then it's unpacking for us.  We did have the option to have them unpack all of our items but I would rather do it myself because then we can put everything where we want.

Mark will be back to work on Thursday and I will start my new job on Monday.  I can't believe we are almost Wisconsin residents (officially that is).

Here are all of the moving pictures.

IMG_0974We were in the house in Rockton long enough to see the tulips bloom.  They are beautiful!!  Some were just one color like most tulips you think of, but a few of them were a mixture between a few colors.  Click here for all of the pictures of the blooming tulips.

Thank again mom!

IMG_0959IMG_0961The moving company came early this morning.  We figured that they would be here around 8 but they showed up around 7:15.  There is a huge semi outside of our house.  It will take 3 days or less to get everything out.

Right now they are packing up stuff in the garage and basement.  Not too many more days in this house.  It's bitter sweet because this was our first house plus our first house together.  After Monday it will just be exciting!!

Check out the other moving pictures here.

IMG_0873Today is April's glorious birthday.  She is 26, and likes long walks on the beach.  What else is there to say?
Enercon LogoApril just accepted a new job as an Accountant with Enercon Industries today.  This is exciting news because now she can come up and stay with her wonderful husband.  We have been apart now for about a month and a half.

The new job gives April the opportunity to take over the current Controller's position, who will be retiring in 4 years.  This is a fantastic career move for April and I am incredibly excited for her.
Unfortunately, our house is back on the market.  A bad buyer decided that she didn't need to fulfill her obligation of a legally binding document, so here we sit with 2 houses.  Hopefully with spring coming our house will sell again to another more deserving buyer.

We are still moving into our new house, which is the lucky news.

So it goes.

IMG_0948The sign is up...the house is SOLD!  Our closings will be on April 28 and we will officially be Wisconsin residents, or as everyone at work calls me a "cheese head."

We are getting really excited to move into our new house.  There are so many things we want for the new house.  We want to IMG_0947decorate it better than our current house, we want new furniture, new appliances, and I'm sure there will be more once we are settled in.

The job hunt is still a hunt. :)  There are a few positions that the two recruiters have connected me with so Tuliphopefully I will hear something from them soon.  I also have to call another company tomorrow to talk about a position.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.

If you look very closely (click on the picture for it to be bigger) you can see the tulips blooming.  My mom gave us a bag of tulips and we would have been able to see them bloom this year.  I'm hoping that they will bloom before we move and then we might get to enjoy tulips at both houses.

This picture is a close up of one of the tulips.  I wanted my mom to see how they are doing and since she won't be able to make it up here to see them, this will have to do.  Thanks again for them, mom!
